1. What is corrugated steel sheet?
Metal cladding sheet is also called profiled sheet. It is made of metal sheets such as color-coated steel sheet and galvanized steel sheet, which are rolled and cold-bent into various corrugated sheets. It is suitable for industrial and civil buildings, warehouses, special buildings, roofs, walls, and interior and exterior wall decoration of large-span steel structure houses. It has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, rich colors, convenient and fast construction, earthquake resistance, fire resistance, rain resistance, long life, and maintenance-free.
2. Manufacturing process of corrugated steel sheet
(1) Forming: After cold rolling or hot rolling, the steel sheet is formed into a wavy shape by forming equipment.(2) Corrugated design: The corrugated shape can be different designs, including V-shaped, U-shaped, triangle, etc. Each design has different uses and aesthetic effects.
(3) Surface treatment: The surface of the steel sheet may be treated with anti-corrosion treatment, such as hot-dip galvanizing, to improve corrosion resistance.
3. Characteristics and advantages of corrugated steel panels
(1) Strength and rigidity: The corrugated design increases the strength and rigidity of the steel sheet, making it more resistant to external pressure and load.(2) Lightweight: Despite its high strength, corrugated steel sheets are relatively light, making them easier to transport, handle and install in buildings.
(3) Aesthetics: The corrugated shape not only provides additional strength to the steel sheet, but also gives the building a more distinctive and aesthetic appearance.
(4) Corrosion resistance: If surface treatment is applied, such as hot-dip galvanizing, corrugated steel sheets can better resist corrosion and extend their service life.
4. Application areas of corrugated metal sheets
(1) Construction: Used as covering material for roofs and walls, providing structural strength and waterproofing.(2) Storage facilities: Used to manufacture warehouses, sheds, open-air shelves, etc.
(3) Transportation: Used to manufacture the carriages of light vehicles, such as container trucks.
(4) Agricultural use: Used to manufacture agricultural buildings, such as farmhouses, livestock sheds, etc.
(5) Temporary buildings: In outdoor activities, it is used as a covering material for simple houses or temporary outdoor buildings.
5. Classification of corrugated steel sheets
In terms of sheet structure and standards, second-generation corrugated sheet products such as biting structure, buckling structure and fastener hidden connection have emerged and have been maturely applied. There are generally multiple classification methods for corrugated sheets, depending on the application location, sheet wave height, overlapping structure and materials. Common classification methods are as follows:(1) Classification of application locations - divided into roofs, walls, floor bearings and ceilings. Colored steel plates are used as wall decoration panels at the same time, and the architectural decoration effect is relatively novel and unique.
(2) Wave height classification - divided into high wave sheets (wave height ≥ 70mm), medium wave sheets (wave height < 70mm) and low wave sheets (wave height < 30mm).
(3) Classification of sheet seam construction methods - divided into overlap, biting and buckling structures. Among them, the bitten and buckled medium and high wave boards are suitable for roof panels with higher waterproof requirements; the overlapped medium and high wave boards are galvanized sheets for floor panels; the overlapped low wave boards are suitable for wall panels.
